The End is Near

I'm not talking about another rapture or anything, but the well received Art in the Streets exhibit has just about timed out. On Aug. 8th the exhibition comes to close, so if you haven't checked it out yet, today would be last day to visit for free since it's a Thursday. I highly suggest making a visit and allowing yourself at least a good hour and a half to see everything. It's a rare occasion that urban art is displayed and praised in an institutional setting, so definitely see and experience history in the making in a way. It's just right here in our very own downtown L.A. Besides the art showcased, my favorite part was that they redesigned some spaces to replicate actual alleyways and graffiti scenarios. Hopefully these pictures tell some of the story:

Not very many people know this, but across the street at Angel City Brewery the art continues with their own "street brewed" installation. It's like the MOCA except you get to walk around with a beer in hand. Can't beat that.

See ya later.
