Carved Complexities

My Henson exhibit just concluded and already I have another one to present - one I'm particularly proud of. I've had a huge fascination with all things paper cut for a while now, so I'm happy that this concept for an exhibition has finally materialized. Paper cut is such a simple but flexible medium - you'd be amazed at the things people could do with just cutting paper!

With that said, you're invited this Saturday to the opening of "Carved Complexities." It's a small exhibition of around 15 pieces, but 15 pieces of pure amazing - all created by pretty notable artists in the field. Please come check it out!

I won't reveal too much, but here's a little sneak preview:

Lucrezia Bieler

Beatrice Coron
Charles Clary
 Kevin Stanton

Back to life

Part of the reason for my long absence from blogging was my commitment to the Henson exhibition I put on earlier this month. Peep it before it comes down January 2, 2012.

And a special special thanks to Kevin T for documenting the process!

Guess Who's Back?

Yup. It's me. I'm back, back, back again! After a long hiatus due to work and studies, I'm finally back in full force with plenty to share.

Now since it is Christmas day, I've got to wish everyone a safe and warm holiday season! Here are some lovely holiday graphics shared with me by some of the artists I've worked with this year:

Cheers!!

@ the LACMA

Spent my Sunday with coworkers at the LACMA and was lucky enough to get complimentary tickets to see the Tim Burton Exhibit. Thanks Jasmine! Unfortunately no photos were allowed, but I did sneak a crappy one. If you haven't visited the LACMA, with or without the Burton installed, it's definitely worth a visit. Hopefully these pictures do it some justice.
