Friends from Gallery Nucleus, WeAreMatik, are featured in an MFA thesis exhibition: Onya Hogan-Finlay, My Taste in Men at the One National Gay & Lesbian Archives at USC.
"The exhibition has been designed with LA-based design trio We Are Matik and offers visual excerpts from LGBT sub-cultures. For example, the life story of ONE Archives’ first benefactor, philanthropist and pioneer of transgender social justice movement in America, Reed Erickson, is narrated through custom designed wallpaper."
Expect to see LGBT culture in a historical context at the closing reception tomorrow, Friday 6-10PM. A scheduled walk-through of the archives is scheduled at 7 by the archivist and curator (how exciting!). Learn more about the event here.
